Located on historic Pacific Street in Monterey, this luxury suite hotel features 104 units in building clusters around courtyards - both private and open - to the hotel. The units are large, allowing for a formal sitting room area with a fireplace in addition to the sleeping area and built- in wet bar and desk. Each unit has a secluded courtyard or balcony. The project design is reminiscent of the old adobes with their courtyards, simple stucco forms and balconies. The units sit on a platform over underground parking with three elevators for access.

The design received an Award of Merit in the 1988 Design Awards Program of the American Institute of Architects, Monterey Bay Chapter.
