This ground breaking "Super" market chain focuses on an upscale, natural foods approach, combining a spectacular inventory of health and wellness items, gourmet prepared foods and superb customer service. JHW Architects designed a new 25,000 S.F. store in Cupertino, California, following the basic aesthetic criteria Whole Foods requires: open, light interiors with high ceilings and spacious shopping areas. Spectacular outdoor displays and al fresco dining complete the Whole Foods Cupertino experience.
In Monterey, JHW remodeled an existing building for Whole Foods, opening up a span of skylights along the roof line to illuminate the interior and add dimension. Exterior walls were expanded and a new entry designed with outdoor display and tables for people watching. New signage and lighting enhance the store, which stands as a flagship in Monterey's Del Monte Center.
JHW has also designed improvements and remodeled the Whole Foods Market in San Rafael, and is currently working on the Walnut Creek Store.
