Originally
designed by JHW Architects as the Pacific Professional Building,
this 33,000 S.F. building was purchased by MIIS in 1997 as part
of their expansion program. The Pacific Professional Building
won a Citation Award from the American Institute of Architects,
Monterey Bay Chapter in 1983.
The
McGowan International Business Center began with a remodel of
the first floor into state of the art computer-learning facilities.
Gradually moving students into the finished classrooms, MIIS
expanded into the second and third floors with additional faculty
offices. The Pacific Street Location marks the western boundary
for the Monterey Campus and is a landmark with it's foreign
flags and distinctive signage.
