JHW Architects prepared several studies to help
the Board of Directors of MRWPCA select this site
at Ryan Ranch as the most economical and central
for their needs. The resulting 9,883 S.F., two story
building completed in 1991 is arranged to handle
four separate departments, each with an administrative
office. Completed in 2004 was the first of two master
planned expansions of the accounting offices, billing
department and an expansion and redesign of the boardroom
and the staffs break room.
The expansion of the boardroom enabled an angled
seating arrangement where all members of the board
representing twelve cities, are able to see and discuss
with one another the board agenda items.
The addition to the break room essentially enclosed
an outdoor patio area, which adjoined the existing
break room. The addition was designed as a warm and
friendly solarium structure with high ceilings in
an open beamed, grid pattern with several skylights
and floor to ceiling windows.
